I have many seasons of growing. Growing premium fruit Growing a depth of knowledge Growing experience Farming in South Africa on two parcels of over 250 hectares in diverse farming for over a decade. I then immigrated to Canada to in 2007 going into the vineyards of the north Okanagan. After that I worked for Coral Beach Farms where I learned and shared knowledge with Mr David Geen. I then moved on to the Creston Valley where I again established orchards, pioneering a planting style for the Canadian cherry industry. I cover a broad range of consulting, starting from the ground up to the premium carton on the export market or the vintage of wines sort after by the discerning pallet.

I have now been based in Kunming, Yunnan, China since the beginning of January. I did head back to Canada for the Chinese New Year as much of the country literally shuts-down. Since then much progress has been made with several clients and business structuring.

My travels have taken me across Yunnan, and flying to Shaanxi and Gansu to visit with clients.

Spring is moving along well and trees in the Malong county, Yunnan already passed full bloom with a set that at this stage looks good.

My clients in Lanping county, Yunnan are planting or still to plant, with mature trees at Green Tip to Tight Cluster. Clients in Tongchuan county, Shaanxi are also at the same stage as Lanping.

Back Okanagan, BC, clients have applied their copper sprays and with temperatures being fairly normal we are seeing that we are 4 to 5 days behind last year, but it’s early days and this can easily change.
